Gravely Brewing is going state-wide – the Louisville brewery announced this week it would begin distributing canned beer throughout Kentucky.

Three different beers will be distributed: The core offering will include two of the brewery’s flagship IPAs, Debaser (a hazy IPA) and Power Chord (West Coast IPA). A third beer will be a rotating seasonal option, beginning with Sprockets. The latter beer, of course, is the pilsner that won a silver medal at the World Beer Cup in 2018.

In order to produce the amount of beer needed for packaging, Gravely has entered into a “strategic distribution partnership” with Taft’s Brewing Co. of Cincinnati, according to a news release. Gravely is exclusively distributed in Kentucky by Heidelberg Distributing Company.

“We are so excited to bring some of our most popular beers from the taproom into the retail marketplace,” the brewery’s founder and president, Nathaniel Gravely, said in the release. “We’ve listened to our beer loving guests, and they’ve made it clear that our Debaser Hazy IPA, Power Chord West Coast IPA, and several of our familiar seasonal offerings will see great success in the marketplace.”

He added, “Canning our top beers has always been an important part of our roadmap, but we wanted it to happen organically, as we first focused internally on building our brand, strengthening our staff, and dialing in our recipes.”

Look for the cans appearing soon in retail liquor stores and in Kroger supermarkets. Six-packs will retail for $9.99. The official can launch party will be Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Hilltop Tavern.

The music-themed brewery opened in 2017 with Gravely and head brewer Cory Buenning the founders.
