Holsopple to celebrate its third birthday Feb. 22
Holsopple Brewing opened three years ago with six beers on tap and a taproom the size of most man caves.
After an expansion a year later, the addition of a head brewer and an expansion in the approach to include barrel-aged beers and milkshake IPAs, the brewery at 8023 Catherine Lane in Lyndon will celebrate its third birthday Feb. 22 with live music, a food truck and plenty of beer.
The fun begins Saturday at 2 p.m., with FlavaVille Food Truck opening up shop at 5 and The Misty Mountain String Band performing at 7.
But if you want to get a jump on the celebration, it unofficially begins on Thursday, Feb. 20, with a special birthday beer release: Big Hand Imperial Stout. The beer is barrel-aged, packed with flavor and packs a 12.3% ABV punch.
In addition, three variants will be released, including Chocolate Covered Cherries, Cappuccino Delight and the menacingly-named Bacon Mayhem. They’ll be available all weekend on draft (while they last), and 16-ounce cans will be available to take home.
Cheers to owners Sam and Kristy Gambill and the whole crew at Holsopple for three years of making great beer. Here’s hoping for many more.
