BoomBozz Highlands gets a remodel, refocuses as 'Watch Bar'
While we were all sleeping, BoomBozz in the Highlands was undergoing a metamorphosis of sorts.
The pizza restaurant and bar, which has dropped “Taphouse” from its name to become BoomBozz Pizza & Watch Bar, did a complete remodel, adding all new décor that features wood, metal and brick textures, as well as a refreshed logo.
The reimagined space was unveiled yesterday as part of an invitation-only grand reopening event.
BoomBozz partnered with Huber Décor on the redesign. The change comes just ahead of March Madness, and part of the enhancements include new audio/video to maximize game-watching at the bar. While there are still 21 taps, BoomBozz essentially inched its way a bit closer to being a sports bar and less of a beer-themed bar.
While the restaurant favorites remain, from the unique pizzas to meatballs and other appetizers, a few new wrinkles have been added: a new cauliflower crust option, Tater Kegs and Green Chili Chicken Pizza. In addition, BoomBozz has adopted a new slogan: “Crafted For You.” To that end, an updated cocktail and wine list also is part of the change.
Other area locations are also undergoing similar remodels, including the Westport Road location, which previously had been a franchise. Meanwhile, all future locations will be called Boombozz Pizza & Watch Bar, while other locations will keep the name Boombozz Craft Pizza & Taphouse, at least for the near future.
“We are thrilled to launch our new rebrand that will elevate the game day experience for our guests,” BoomBozz founder and CEO Tony Palombino said. “We know how passionate Louisville and Southern Indiana are when it comes to sports, and our team took great care to provide everything guests need to watch and get in on the action. The location has been re-imagined in order to accommodate better sightlines as well as provide optimal views of the added large screen televisions.”
